Over two dozen of Samantha Pilecki's short stories and poems are published in various literary magazines and anthologies, including Five 2 One, Kansas City Voices, Typehouse, and the Yemassee. Her Middle Grade novel, The Ineffable Quality of Caterpillars, is an Author Mentor Match selection.

She is the recipient of the Haunted Waters Press Short Shorts Flash Fiction Award, the winner of the Writing District Monthly Contest, and a finalist in Welter's 55 Contest, the New Millennium Writing's 47th Competition, and the Writer's Digest Short Short Story Competition. She has appeared as contributor, a guest blogger, and panelist for New Lit Salon Press.

She works as a librarian and therefore has typical librarian interests, namely caring for pet rats, reading tarot cards, and brewing tea. She loves traveling and creating paper art.
